With Mental Health Week starting today, I decided to write a little something about mental health and how it affects my life (as well as some other bits of information surrounding mental health.)
After reading that around two thirds of people in Britain have mental health problems, it made me realise that this is something that needs to be addressed.
I, myself suffer with severe anxiety and it has always been something that I’ve had to deal with since the age of 13.
Whilst growing up, I looked up to many celebrities like Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, who unfortunately also suffer with mental health problems.
Over the last few years I have watched them be advocates for mental health and really help spread the word, as well as helping others with their projects.
And it’s not just celebrities who can help.
I encourage that anyone who is suffering or feels like they are suffering with mental health, should speak out to people and receive help – whether it’s from doctors, family/friends, or even charities.
